As a consequence, it is strongly advised, before leaving, to obtain information from the French Consulates office in the country where the national lives or an airline serving Tahiti.

Except for nationals of European Union and aliens holding a 10 year residence card for metropolitan France, all foreigners must have either a return ticket or pay a repatriation bond upon their arrival.
