Diving in French Polynesia
Most
divers who experienced it will confirm that French Polynesia underwater
world definitely constitutes a must destination with over
800 different species. Pristine lagoons, steep drop-offs, schools
of yellow and red fiches, sharks, manta rays… the nature has once
again been particularly generous with us.
From beginners to experts, lagoon to ocean dives, you will
find suitable diving spots to everyone.
Most of them are located in the Leeward islands and the Tuamotu
archipelago. Rangiroa
with its lagoon pass, Manihi and Tikehau features the most spectacular
dives that will leave you with an unforgettable souvenir. Even the
Australs archipelago with its whales observations during the summer
season, though less famous than the previous ones, now also features
some diving centers (see Tubuai
or Rurutu).
The equipment is usually included with the dive rate but you may
want to bring your own suit, fins and tuba.
Rem : A “Diving activities” menu is also available for each
island that features a diving center.
